Move More month is officially here! Started by the American Heart Association, it aims to encourage all Americans (and now Aussies) to be more active and move more daily!
This doesn't just mean working out once a day, but moving more throughout your day. And for those that are already physically active, reaping the rewards, why not take part & encourage people around you to start moving.
Moving comes in many forms, from attending a yoga class, taking the stairs over the elevator, walking to your local shops, smashing your morning WOD or even doing a quick session in your home gym. Whatever you choose, moving more will do the world of good for you, and your heart.
Small daily movements might be challenging at first, so here's some tips to help you get moving this April:
Start small & build up each day
Whether it's taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or parking further away, or swimming a few lengths in your local pool, it's all about getting active and making small positive changes for your health and your heart.

Stretching has so many benefits, where do I start! It may be intimidating at first to attend a local yoga or stretch class, but why not start in the comfort of your own home until you build up your confidence and flexibility?

Make it an occasion and get your mates or family to join you in getting active! Motivate and encourage your friends to take this journey for a better heart and overall health! You'll be surprised how much further you will push yourself when getting mates involved!
